At the invitation of the AIA New York Chapter, Laura Heim presented her work in Sunnyside Gardens to a full audience at the Center for Architecture, the respected venue for architecture and the built environment in New York City. The presentation, Sunnyside Gardens:Theory Preservation and Practice in a Historic District, reviewed the history of this 1920’s planned community and featured her work which skillfully inserts contemporary uses and design into restored properties.
