Laura Heim, together with Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk and Jeffrey Kroessler, will present “From Sunnyside to Seaside, Garden Suburb to New Urbanism” at the National Conference of the AIA in Orlando on April 28. The session will explore the urban design features common to both that foster a sense of neighborliness and a healthy environment. Laura will discuss how Sunnyside’s defining features have held up or been compromised over its first century, and how her projects have contributed to the restoration of this historic planned community while accommodating contemporary needs.
