Invited by nycoba|NOMA & AIANY Civic Leadership Program (CLP), Laura Heim contributed her expertise to the panel discussion “What’s Next for Basement Apartments after Hurricane Ida?” Her experience working on one and two family houses throughout Queens, as well as working with Restored Homes to restore abandoned houses to create affordable housing, provided a practicing architect’s perspective to the controversial proposal to use cellars and basements for legal affordable housing.
